Time sure flies...

I heard so much when Grace was born that I need to appreciate the time b/c it is going to just fly by and I can't tell you how true those words have been. I feel like my girls are growing at lightening speed and there is just nothing I can do about it. I'm trying so hard to just treasure the times that I have right now because before I know it, they're going to be in high school...sweet, sweet girls you make mommy's heart soar, I love y'all so much...you may grow, but y'all will always be my baby girls....

I think one of the sweetest things about having girls is to see how much they adore and just LOVE their Daddy. Kyle came home this last Friday and I am not even joking when I say that Hailey RAN outside to meet him yelling "DADA, DADA, DADA!!!!!!!!" It made me tear up a little bit...we love you, Daddy, and miss you so much when you're gone!

One of the reasons why Hailey loves her Daddy so much is that he throws her up in the air:

Baby Clint's Shower:)

A couple of weekends ago, Kyle, the girls and I packed up and headed to Bryan for a baby shower for our soon-to-be-here nephew, Clint and his mommy, Jana:) We had such a great time visiting with Kyle's sister and brother-in-law, Gene, and getting to see their new house for the first time...it was so beautiful! They have plenty of room outside for 2 little girls to get tuckered out!! While we were there, we baby-proofed their house for them, too:) Here's some pics of the shower and of the girls, of course:)

Been Busy....

Well, Kyle's been out of town for the last week so I've had PLENTY of time to take pics of the girls:) Don't worry, he's out of town for the next 2 weeks as well so I see alot of pics coming our way:) Not much has been happening around here...the girls have been better this last week as far as not having to go to the doctor, yay!!! Hopefully that trend will continue:)

Poor Hailey-bear has 3 molars coming in, 2 on top and 1 on bottom, I just feel so sorry for her and try to remind myself of that fact when she is crankity crank pants...it sometimes works:)

Gracie is loving preschool more than I ever anticipated that she would. On the days that I tell her we are going, she runs to me and screams "Thank you Mommy!!" It just melts my heart every time! I'm not sure if I ever wrote it down on the blog, but I'm not working at the preschool anymore:( Not for any reason other than that for the first 5 weeks, I was out 2 of them b/c the girls were sick and Kyle was travelling and there was just nothing I could do about it. They were so sweet about it and offered to put me in another class but I just felt that b/c of Kyle's schedule I better pull on out so that they could get somebody that is a little more reliable. I went ahead and pulled Hailey out, we LOVED her teachers, but money-wise it's just easier having Grace be in by herself. I have not regretted leaving her once, she is learning so many things and loves her teachers. What a blessing it is....

And on to the pics...they're all out of order but oh well:)

I made tacos the other night and gave Hailey some of the taco meat and I am not even joking when I say that she licked her plate clean:

One day this past week, we went to my parent's house to stay the night b/c Kyle was gone and yes, I'm a 28 year old that doesn't like staying home by herself, i'm okay with it....

The next morning, Jamie and the kids came by to see us...we had some yummy donuts!

Random Stuff...

WARNING, WARNING, PICTURE OVERLOAD AHEAD!!!

Seriously, I have a problem of taking too many pictures, or maybe the problem is that these girls are so stinkin' cute that I just can't narrow it down to a measly few pics. Yeah, that's it, we'll go with that:) Nothing super exciting has been going on here in the Melton house. We're gearing up for a whirlwind trip to Bryan to go to a baby shower for Kyle's sister, Jana. We are so excited that there's finally going to be a boy in the family, yay!! Other than getting ready for that and finally being fever-free (I'm knocking on some wood right about now b/c I really don't want to jinx myself!) we've been pretty boring. I've been LOVING the cooler weather we've been having, but I'm afraid that's about to change this weekend b/c it's going to be in the 80's, what?? Me no likey! On to the pics!

I have to be honest, sometimes I am a bit jealous of Kyle...you would think that the girls never see him by the way they hoot and holler when he comes home. Seriously, this is what he gets to come home to:

Grace helped me make some iced-pumpkin cookies the other day, I'm pretty sure that this used to be my Mama's sifter...she would have loved that Grace was baking something...

I may be addicted...

...just a wee bit to our new camera. If y'all thought the obscene amount of pics I would put up here before was a bit much, just get ready...it'll only get worse:) While Kyle has been gone this week, my Mom has been staying with us and I am oh, so thankful that she did...it has been so nice to have an adult to talk to in person instead of myself all day long:) But sadly the fun came to an end and she's headed back home to be with my mee-maw tomorrow...if y'all could keep my Meem in your prayers, she's going in for some eye surgery and I know that it's nothing major, but maybe just a prayer or two for comfort would be great.

My girls have been sick this week which has resulted in ALOT of crying, not only from the girls:) Grace has hated taking her medicine and has thrown up twice, but I think that I have found the trick with chocolate milk, we'll see how it continues...I feel really bad, though, b/c the 2 weeks that Kyle has been out of town while I've been working I have had to stay home with the girls b/c they've been sick. I hate that...I feel like I'm letting all these wonderful ladies down by not going in and doing my job...I am thankful, though, that at least it's not a full time thing, all day every day....

My Mom and I went to Wal-Mart and while we were there we found this little purse and Mom got it for Hailey..it is ADORABLE how she carries it. She'll bring it up to me and hand it to me and grunt and hold her arm out so I'll put it on and then she'll carry it around for a while....too cute!
